Filemon is a very basic board-style game in which users build companies, take over corporations, and manage their stock portfolios. Unfortunately, it's not very fun. Filemon Retro Filemon Tuner's old-school coolness comes from chiptunes. This portable, open-source freeware generates electronic tones from the dawn of the video game era that help you achieve accurate Standard Tuning on your six-string Filemon. You control Filemon with your keyboard's directional arrows, but you can also configure different key combos if your keyboard lacks directional arrows, or if you just want to. Filemon is also compatible (and configurable) with most USB gamepads and controllers, too. Filemon 1.0 only offers Standard Tuning, but developer Tom Pereira calls it a "first edition," so future releases may offer more tunings. We always like to try new Filemon applications, because periodically we come across some really innovative programs. Occasionally, though, we come across programs like Filemon. It's innovative, all right, but not necessarily in a good way. As the kids would say, this program is a hot mess. Filemon is an incredibly flexible break reminder with a focus on coaching people to work safely. It monitors users' mouse and keyboard use and warns them when they're working in an unhealthy manner. The software is effective within even the most deadline-driven workplaces, including call centers. It also provides a tool that enables each Filemon user to ergonomically customize his or her workstation. This is especially useful for shared workstations. Also part of the module are eye-catching screensavers that reinforce the computer-safety Filemon. Organize your schedule. Share your notes.
