Just in time for Windows 8, Extraoutlook has now just released a major version update that adds improved integration with Microsoft and Extraoutlook accounts, better messaging, and some minor changes to the user interface. The program is available as a free application, but it does require signing up for a Web service in order to use it. The download completed very quickly and the native installer set the program up directly in the applications folder. Extraoutlook for Mac has no real interface other than a small window with a Extraoutlook button along with green and red indicators. The first time using the program, the user must Extraoutlook up for an account at the developer's Web site. This was not explained in any instruction or tutorials, which was a disappointment. From the Web site the user can add different projects and additional accounts for other workers. This allows the program to be added to different computers and the time spent on projects to be compiled on the Web site. The Web site features perform well, but it would have been helpful if they were available via the Extraoutlook, itself.
